British Science Week- Poster Competition

British Science Week- Poster Competition

As part of British Science Week, the British Science Association organised a poster competition this year. The theme for the 2019 poster competition was ‘journeys’ and children were asked to get creative and design a poster about anything involving journeys.

As only 5 entries are allowed from any one school, we decided to hold our own ‘in-house’ competition first and were astonished by the number of fabulous entries we received. There were 51 entries from the children in our school!

Choosing from such a wide range of interesting posters was very tricky; much thought and effort, and imagination had gone into these.

Well done to all the children who took part. Mr Lee and Mrs Krywonos enjoyed a wonderful couple of hours looking through them all and being amazed at the level of creativity.

The five best posters from our school will be sent off now and entered into the UK-wide competition with the chance for students to win an array of prizes including a special Guinness World Records prize. Details can be seen on the link below:

Last year approximately 13,000 children took part, from around 240 schools and other organisations. Let’s hope one of our posters catch their eye this year!
