PSHE at NCJPS
“PSHE helps children and young people to stay healthy and safe, while preparing them to make the most of life and work.” (PSHE Association)
Intent: At NCJPS, we believe PSHE education and the SMSC (spiritual, moral, social and cultural) development has a crucial role in providing our pupils with the attributes they need to thrive and become healthy, independent and responsible members of society. We want our children to be able to understand and reflect on how they are developing personally and socially. In turn, this will give them the confidence to tackle moral, mental, physical, social and cultural issues that are part of growing up. We aim to enhance and enrich the lives of children by enabling them to make the most of learning opportunities within and beyond the curriculum.
