NCJPS is an inclusive school environment where all children are given opportunities to learn together.
All children receive quality first class teaching which is differentiated to meet their individual needs.
Many children at NCJPS with SEND benefit in class from small group or individual teaching, visual prompts and alternative forms of recording work e.g. use of ipads, laptops etc. Teachers work alongside the school SENCO and outside professionals to determine the best support plan for each individual child with SEND.
Children’s progress is monitored continuously by class teachers through ongoing assessment, focus groups with the class teacher and teaching assistants, marking and observation. Progress is discussed with the Headteacher on a termly basis and targets are set for the following term.
